Intro To Sailing
Who is this course for
You have always dreamed of getting out on the water and experiencing everything BC has to offer, but have no boating experience. You want a short dip-your-toe-in-the-water sailing experience to make sure that this sport is for you.
At the end of this course, you will have a better idea of what it means to be out on a sailboat enjoying the wonderful outdoors. You will have learned some boating safety and some of the basics of sailing. But mostly you will have had an amazing sailing experience!

Course Format
This course is provided in a single day, day sail format. If you are wanting a longer intro, we offer sail Canada’s Start Keelboat Sailing course for a multi-day Cruise-N-Learn introduction to sailing.

Basic Cruising
Who is this course for
For the beginning sailor with little or no boating experience who wants to gain basic sailing and seamanship skills as either a skipper or as crew.
You have always dreamed of getting out on the water and experiencing everything BC has to offer, but have little or no boating experience. You are ready to start learning and confident that sailing is for you!
At the end of this course, you will be able to cruise safely in familiar waters as skipper or crew on a 6 to 10 meter sailboat in moderate wind and sea conditions by day.

Custom Course
Who is this course for
For the sailor with experience who wants to get out on the water and hone or extend their skills.
You have already completed a basic sailing course, or have other experience sailing and want to spend more time practicing, focusing on specific skills, or add in a couple new skills. But mostly, you just want to get out on the water and have a great vacation sailing around the Salish Sea.
We will work with you to build a course that covers the topics you are interested in.
